50+ Free Things To Do Around Portland This Weekend

Around The Sun Blog compiles a huge list every week of coming weekends free events.  Here are my two picks that you may see me wandering about enjoying.

Oregon Brewers Festival: More than 70 breweries will sell their tasty creations at Tom McCall Waterfront Park. Admission is free, and non-drinkers can enjoy free sodas and live music. Visit the event website for more information.

I expect this place to be packed and must say that I am surprised that it is free.  Maybe the Bite should try that.

My second pick was tough.  There are all kinds of movies in the park but this movie is an interesting documentary.  It is suppossed to give some solutions through his own experience lowering his dependence on electricity

The film “Kilowatt Ours” will be showing at Bagdad Theater at 6:00 pm (doors open at 5:00 pm). Visit the theater website for details.

I started in real estate as an assistant in December 2000 just a few months after receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Portland State University. After almost a year as an assistant and watching all of their mistakes I thought I knew it all and became a real estate broker. Quickly I learned that every transaction is different and surprised my psychology degree came in to play quite often. I have had a desk at two of the larger companies before settling at Rio Realty in Beaverton in 2005 and then becoming Principal Broker in December of that year.
